What is BOSS? BOSS is the acronym for Buds On Spectacular Stage. It is an event that performs the English skills of 5th grade students of SD Al Hikmah Surabaya. This event was held at SD Al Hikmah Surabaya Hall on the 3rd floor of SD Al Hikmah Surabaya. It was held on Saturday, May 27, 2023 from 08.00 to 11.00 WIB. All performances on stage and in front of the invitees were delivered in English.

The event was opened with performances by grade 2 and grade 1 students. The first performance was presented by grade 2 students who sang a series of songs that mesmerized and captivated. Another interesting performance is the storytelling performance of grade 1 students that brought interesting stories to life on stage. The students delivered the stories with passion and enthusiasm. The students who performed managed to captivate the audience with their abilities.

On the main agenda, the event opened with the recitation of the Quran verses followed by prayer. Then the next event was the invitees who attended singing Indonesia Raya and Mars Al Hikmah. Then there was also a song called Bismillah that sung by

students. The three songs were led by one of the best 5th grade students of SD Al Hikmah Surabaya, Muhammad Rif'an Anwar class 5C. 

The next event was the boys' presentation followed by the girls' presentation. Also played three videos containing testimonials from alumni who have been successful in their respective careers. The alumni expressed their happiness and gratitude for having studied and been a student at SD Al Hikmah Surabaya. The alumni are very impressed with SD Al Hikmah Surabaya, especially the teachers who have taught many positive things including English language skills.

The highlight of the BOSS agenda was the public test where students were tested in front of the invitees to answer questions that had been prepared. There were even special questions from parents addressed to their respective sons and daughters.

Parents are very impressed with this event agenda. One of the parents said that the BOSS agenda was so spectacular that his daughter became confident performing in front of the public using English. While Mrs. Cintya, a parent of Alexa revealed that the event can be held again in the coming period so that children can speak English well and fun.
